Victims tied up during Robindale armed robbery

ROBINDALE – The suspects allegedly tied up their victims after breaking into the house.


Two people were reportedly tied up and had their car stolen earlier today during an alleged robbery in Esmeralda Crescent, Robindale.

According to Constable Takalani Matumba of the Linden Police Station, officers were still at the scene of the crime. She was not able to divulge further information on the crime, stating that she would need to wait for information from investigating officers.

Unconfirmed information received from a community group said suspects had tied up their two victims after jumping over the wall and breaking into the house.

Nearby neighbours heard the screaming of one of the victims before alerting the police. Security cameras in the neighbour were able to identify and alleged suspicious vehicle and information was sent the police.
