Rollover in Zandspruit leaves four people injured

ZANDSPRUIT – Three other passengers managed to get out of the vehicle before emergency services arrived.


Numerous emergency services responded to a vehicle rollover along Peter Road, Zandspruit in the early hours of Sunday morning (26 January). 

Er24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics from ER24 found the vehicle lying on its side in a veld alongside the road, “One person sustained serious injuries and was still trapped inside of the vehicle. ER24’s rescue unit along with City of Johannesburg’s Emergency Services used specialised tools to free the occupant.”

Three other passengers got themselves out of the vehicle before paramedics arrived on the scene. All were taken to the hospital to received further treatment.

Meiring said the exact circumstances leading up to the rollover are unknown.
