A bustle of excitment in the once quiet corridors of Blairgowrie Primary School could mean only one thing – the Grade 1s have arrived.
On 15 January, a bright-eyed group of beautiful Grade 1s arrived for their first day of ‘big’ school – and their joy was simply palpable.
Surrounded by their mommies and daddies, with only the odd tear in sight, the Grade 1 class of 2020 prepared to take on their school careers, with a spring in their steps.
Met enthusiastically by their teachers, and principal Pat Oosthuizen, the little ones were welcomed with open arms to the place that they would spend their next seven years.
The team at the Randburg Sun would like to wish the Grade 1s of 2020 nothing but the best on their journeys through education.
Remember the words of the inimitable Nelson Mandela… “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Good luck Grade 1s!
