Indeed, this has been a busy and eventful year in 2019, and I look forward to 2020.
The Bond Street storm water upgrade is well underway and that should be completed by last quarter of 2020. This, and all of the other projects throughout the year, speak to a commitment, by this administration, to improve ageing infrastructure.
My hope for 2020 is that there will be more community involvement in the ward. The needs of the community are vast, but sadly the resources are very much limited.
I am reminded of what Margaret Mead, the American cultural anthropologist once said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.”
I would like to take this opportunity in thanking all the agencies that provide service and support in and to our ward. Your contribution over this last year is very much appreciated.
May 2020 be a wonderful and successful year for you all.
