37 arrested in Honeydew

HONEYDEW – Thirty seven suspects were arrested in successful operations in the Honeydew policing area in only four days from 17 to 20 November.


The Honeydew police are praising the efforts of officers after the arrests of 37 suspects in a successful operation in the Honeydew policing area in only four days from 17 to 20 November.

Honeydew Police Station spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said the suspects were arrested for various crimes in and around the Honeydew policing precinct. “These successful arrests are all part of increased police activity and visible policing in the Honeydew area.

“On behalf of our station commander, Brigadier Anesh Maharaj, we would like to congratulate all police members for their work in bringing the crime rate in the area down and helping to make Honeydew a safer place for all.”

Muthan said that all suspects have or will appear in the Roodepoort or Randburg Magistrates’ Courts soon.
