Linden pharmacy robbed

LINDEN – A robbery occurred at a pharmacy on 3rd Avenue in Linden on 15 November.


Emergency services, police and security services responded to the scene of a robbery at a pharmacy on 3rd Avenue in Linden on 15 November.

According to Linden Police’s Captain Alex Vermaak, four armed robbers driving a silver Nissan Almera targeted the pharmacy during the late afternoon.

A pharmacy staff member was injured after the staff member was hit over the head by one of the armed robbers during the incident.

The suspects demanded cash and made away with various items stolen from the store and taken off of staff in the brazen robbery.

An ambulance was called to treat the injured staff member, whose wounds were seen to on the scene. Security and police promptly responded to the scene, and an investigation into the matter is taking place.

Vermaak said, “We appeal to the community for any information about this robbery and the perpetrators to further help our investigation.”
