Bountiful bargains galore at police auction

HONEYDEW – It will be bargains abound as the Honeydew police host the Johannesburg West Cluster Police's annual auction on 13 November.

HONEYDEW – It will be bargains abound as the Honeydew Police Station hosts the Johannesburg West Cluster Police’s annual auction on 13 November.

Viewing and bidding will start at the station on Juice Road, off Beyers Naudé Drive, Honeydew at 11am.

It will be a silent auction, no deposits will be required and only cash will be accepted. TV licences must be provided when buying a TV set.

Spokesperson for Honeydew police, Captain Balan Muthan said, “We host this auction to clear recovered goods that have not been collected by community members after a closed case.”

The cluster consists of the Honeydew, Roodepoort, Florida, Linden, Douglasdale, Randburg and Diepsloot police stations.

Goods on offer include the following:

  • Lap- and desktop computers
  • Television sets
  • Sound equipment, including speakers and amplifiers
  • Mags and tyres
  • DVDs
  • Bicycles
  • Clothing
  • Tools
  • Gas stoves
  • Microwave ovens
  • State property such as desks, filing cabinets, tables, tyres and office chairs.
