Trinityhouse hosts the sharp and the fluent

RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge recently hosted the Advtalk Impromptu Public Speaking Evening for primary schools in the ADvTECH staple.

Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge recently hosted an impromptu public speaking evening. The primary school hosted learners from all over Johannesburg. The schools represented were some of the private schools which have formed the ADvTECH staple.

Primary school learners from Charterhouse Preparatory, Crawford Preparatory Lonehill, Pinnacle College Kyalami, Trinityhouse Little Falls and Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge made their way to the Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge campus in celebration of the gift of the gab.

Adjudicators supplied participants with 20 minutes to prepare a speech on a topic which was also given to them on the night. They were then given the opportunity to present their speeches for a period of 1.5 to 2 minutes. The semi-on-the-spot speeches gave learners the opportunity to exercise their cerebrums which is the part of the brain responsible for thought, the ability to learn as well as speech.

The learners took on the task in their stride and delivered their speeches well, where all attendees were able to enjoy the festivities.

After the speeches were delivered by learners, the adjudicators gave feedback to the young orators as well as bronze, silver and gold certificates. The friendly competition was enjoyed by all. The event focused on the promotion and encouragement of public speaking was said to be a success by host school Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge.
