Kindness continued

LINDEN – Kindness Like Confetti continues to spread kindness with their Brave Bags for Cancer patients at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.


The month of September has seen the Kindness like Confetti (KLC) team focused on cancer awareness.

KLC has collaborated with Mini Miracles and The Brave Bag Foundation to assemble as many Cancer Brave Bags as possible. The Cancer Brave Bags have been put together to give comfort to those going through cancer treatment.

The Brave Bag Foundation distributes bags every Monday to the new patients in the Oncology Ward at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

Please see the list of items per bag the non-profit organisation has planned to donate to the hospital on 21 October:

  • 250ml bottle of water
  • Microwave heat bag
  • A packet of lemon or ginger tea
  • Pair of thin socks
  • Facecloth
  • Vaseline
  • Pocket pack of tissues
  • Antiseptic ointment
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Energy bar snack
  • A packet of ginger biscuits
  • Adult beanie
  • Small tin of nutrition shake
  • Lightweight blanket
  • Magazine

If you would like to join in on the KLC initiative, your donations can be dropped off at Gonk at 51 on 4th avenue in Linden as well as Classic Frames at Shop 501, 39 at the corner of 5th and 4th Avenue in Linden.
