Gill Scheepers and Kayla Murphy are behind a pre- and post-natal lifestyle hub turned franchise. The pair began their business ‘on a big scale’ in March of last year and their many branches served as a testament of determination.
As partners and entrepreneurs, the pair discussed their journey to where they are as well as their passion for health, the upliftment, and support of women.

Murphy and Scheepers are trained biokineticists with honours qualifications. The clinical exercise therapists explained that their qualification gives those who studied it a ‘broad scope of focus’ which has filtered into their business. The pair initially established separate businesses and subsequently decided to join forces, as they had met previously through a mutual friend.
The road to ensured business sustainability continues and is fuelled by how ‘rewarding it is working with the moms and also giving back to women… It’s a happy time in their lives…we can add to that’, mused Murphy.
When faced with challenges, Scheepers emphasised the importance of perseverance and choosing the right career path, “If it’s something that you’re passionate about, then it energises you.”

Both business owners were able to relate to clients based on understanding how motherhood shapes their world. Through their lived experience, Murphy and Scheepers prioritise and established a supportive community for moms.
A large part of the business’s ideals is sustained health. Murphy and Scheepers agreed that a healthy mom equals a healthy baby. The culture of exercise is passed on to growing babies, as moms continue to exercise after birth. This encouraged healthy habits which are able to become part of the growing baby’s lifestyle.
