Purity Chizhande is a self-published author

BOSKRUIN – Purity Chizhande is a self-published author, mother and wife with a message for women everywhere.

Purity Chizhande has been ordained as a pastor and trained as a counsellor with a passion for the upliftment of women of all ages.

Her jovial disposition was clear as she detailed the journey to being a self-published author and the message which was put on her heart. Chizhande has published two books, where the most recent addition, The Complete Woman, has been released just in time for Women’s Month.

A wife and mother of two teenagers, aged 16 and 13, Chizhande has taken steps to ensure her life experience, training and passion are used to effect positive change in the community. The Complete Woman was written and published all in the space of three months which the author described as a ‘beautiful challenge’ in contrast with her first book entitled, The Quest for Happily Ever After, which took years to come to life.

The author, who grew up in Zimbabwe, recalled the years which led to the release of her first book and how her husband encouraged her to follow through.

Chizhande credited her ‘willingness to learn’ as the thing which has driven her to venture into the world of writing. The author and counsellor spoke of how her decision to write and publish her books have also had a domino effect on how her children interact with the world, where they have become more adventurous and daring.

“We sit at the dinner table and discuss what we can do.”

Chizhande has hoped to leave a positive impact with her words. Both of her books are available on Amazon as e-books and paperback, as well as at Life Media Distribution and Rhema book shops.
