R60 to get your name up on the Birthday Brick wall of fame!

Gift Shumba of the Randburg SPCA was found unboxing the first delivery which formulated part of the Birthday Bricks initiative. The fundraising activity started officially on 1 July in honour of the suburb’s 60th birthday. The collaboration between the Randburg Sun and Randburg SPCA has given community members an opportunity to donate to the often cash-strapped organisation, where a reminder of their donation can live on in the form of a personalised plaque.

August has brought with it the first round of manufactured personalised bricks and they will be joined by the most recent additions to the cause very soon. A significant number of Birthday Bricks were purchased at the carnival day hosted at the SPCA on 27 July. The SPCA was very pleased with the keen interest of the attendees and welcomed many more donations before the initiative ends officially at the end of August. The end of the Birthday Bricks fundraiser has signalled 60 days after the suburb of Randburg turned six decades old.

Purchase your own Birthday Brick today, and encourage your network to do the same and ensure the longevity of the animal shelter.
