Media Tech serves industry notifications

NORTH RIDING – Media Tech 2019 is a trade show for the latest technology in broadcast, film, live entertainment and audiovisual equipment.

The Media Tech Africa kicked off their three-day run at the TicketPro Dome on 17 July. The trade show showcased all the latest technology in broadcast film, live entertainment and audiovisual equipment.

A member of the team which organised the event, Claire Badenhorst, has been involved in the execution of Media Tech since 2005 and now finds herself as a sales manager in the machine. “This show is such a nice vibe when you walk in here, so it’s exciting for us.”

Teams who register to showcase their technology, speak with organisers beforehand to ensure that the technology they plan to exhibit is relevant to the three verticals mentioned above. Since the show has taken place every two years, it has made way for the pace of ‘radical change in technology and size of the market’ as well as affordability.

Exhibitor and North Riding resident Nicky Lee was excited about the show and looked forward to ways in which the organisers can improve and make it more innovative and fresh in years to come. The sea of exhibitors was met with eager consumers ready to learn and be immersed in the show’s cutting-edge technology.

The show was originally held Sandton Convention Centre but moved to the TicketPro Dome in 2007. This provided more opportunities for outdoor exhibitions and ease for exhibitors to load their exhibition material. The show is scheduled to return in 2021 for those who missed it.
