Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N14 near Beyers Naudé in the direction of Krugersdorp on Tuesday, 30 July at 3.51pm.
Spokesperson for Netcare 911, Shawn Herbst said that reports from the scene indicated that a light motor vehicle and a heavy motor vehicle were involved in a collision.
“Medics assessed the scene and found that an adult male as well as an adult female sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene,” said Herbst.
Herbst also said that it is believed the truck drove into the back of the car. The truck driver was not injured.
All necessary authorities were present at the scene.
