Two murderers are behind bars for 15 years each after a murder they committed in Bordeaux in December 2017.
The two accused, Tseko Mohlwai Mohlwai and Au Masita, were both 25 years old at the time of the crime.
Randburg Police spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja spoke of the incident saying that the police were approached by a community member while they were performing their normal duties.
Maja said, “The community member informed of someone who was lying down on the corner of Hilltop and Noreen streets. The person directed the police to the exact location where the incident happened. They drove through and on their arrival they found, an unknown male in pool of blood lying face down.”
At the time, paramedics were summoned to the scene. The victim succumbed to their injuries and was certified dead on the scene. A case of murder was opened.
Maja continued, “The matter was assigned to Detective Constable Malose Malope. He started with his preliminary investigation and identified witnesses. He tirelessly followed up each and every lead he was provided with by the members of the community and witnesses until he managed to arrest the two suspects.”
Mohlwai and Masita were arrested at a liquor outlet in the Randburg CBD.
“They went through court proceedings at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court since their arrest and were recently convicted and sentenced to fifteen years direct imprisonment.
