Armed robbery takes place at Kohl Academy along Malibongwe

ROBINDALE – The robbers stole cellphones, jewelry an other small valuables which were easy to carry and had fled the centre swiftly.

On 26 May an armed robbery took place at the Kohl Academy along Malibongwe Drive. Nobody was harmed and the two robbers, dressed in suits, stole small belongings which could be carried out easily. The robbers were not disguised and were seen by victims.

This according to Jedine Viljoen, a teacher at the makeup training centre, who was there during the robbery.

At 3pm on 26 May, two men armed with revolvers robbed the innocent victims present at the Kohl Makeup Academy in Robindale. The men wore suits without their faces covered and are said to have been very calm. Police and armed response were both there to take statements and have begun an investigation into the matter, however they were unavailable for comment.

An unnamed student at the academy confirmed that the robbers were two men in suits.

Residents of the Robindale area are urged to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour in surrounding areas.
