Call for new Douglasdale CPF members

DOUGLASDALE – The Douglasdale Community Police Forum has made a call to residents to rise up and fill vacant spots in the organisation tasked to ensure safety of residents.


The Douglasdale Community Police Forum (CPF) has issued a call to residents to join the organisation which ensures collaborations with the community and law enforcement.

The forum has facilitated the relationships with law enforcement of specific sectors and ensured an effective link between residents of the area. An elective general meeting will be held on 5 June to fill open positions in the committee.

The positions which need to be filled are chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer, crime prevention officer, public relations officer, as well as a youth and school coordinator. Nomination forms for all vacancies are available from the Douglasdale Police Station (Corner Topaas Avenue and Douglasdale Drive, Douglasdale, Sandton) or via email cpf.douglasdale@gmail.com – should you meet the committee’s entrance criteria you may be nominated to join the committee.

The entrance criteria are as follows:

Where a person is nominated for more than one position/vacancy, separate forms must be used for each position and that a fully completed form with all supporting documentation must be received by 31 May 2019. The CPF has appealed for residents to take the opportunity to be involved in the safety of the community. The special meeting has been scheduled to take place in the evening at the Indaba Hotel on William Nicol Drive on 5 June at 6pm.
