Collision in Emmarentia leaves four injured

EMMARENTIA – A collision on the corner of Beyers Naudé Drive and Judith Road in Emmarentia has left a 20-year-old male passenger and motorbike rider both in a critical condition following a collision with a tree.


Paramedics from ER24 and other medical emergency services were at the scene on Sunday (31 March) at 7.35pm. Upon arrival, they found one biker and three people in a bakkie in need of medical attention.

“The biker, driver and second passenger (also adult males) from the bakkie were treated and transported by other services while the critical passenger from the bakkie was treated with advanced life support interventions and transported by ER24,” read the statement from ER24.

All the injured patients were taken to Helen Joseph Hospital for further care and treatment.

Metro Police and the fire department were present at the scene for further investigation.
