Curro Holdings acquires North Riding College

NORTH RIDING – The college is said to have opened its doors in 2013 with one Grade 1 and one Grade R class and has since grown to 200 learners.


NORTH RIDING – Curro Holdings, announced their acquisition of North Riding College. This acquisition broadens Curro’s footprint across Southern Africa, while the brand continues with their mission of widening access to quality education throughout the region.

North Riding College, a co-ed education independent school, will form part of Curro Holdings’ select school model. Within the North Riding College stable, the following schools have been included in the acquisition:

n North Riding College for Grade 000 to Grade 9 (with higher grades being phased in annually);

n Sharonlea Childcare for children from three months to two years old. This newly renovated campus opened its doors on 4 March

n Sharonlea Pre-primary for children from three years old to Grade R.

North Riding College, which is said to have a strong focus on academic development, opened its doors six years ago with only one Grade 1 class, and one Grade R class, and has since grown to accommodate nine classes with over 200 learners in 2019.

Curro CEO Andries Greyling said, “Curro prides itself in offering an independent education space where learners can flourish into leaders. We’re looking forward to seeing North Riding College grow even further under our banner as we welcome the school into the Curro family.”
