RANDPARK RIDGE – A victim was robbed of his wallet, passport and cell phone during a highjacking.


RANDPARK RIDGE – A victim of a highjacking was forced into the car along with the suspects that were busy stealing his car.

According to Honeydew police spokesperson, Captian Balan Muthan, the highjacking took place at 8.15am on 27 February at the N1 North, near the Beyers Naudé off-ramp. The victim was blocked by an unknown vehicle. Two men exited the vehicle and made their way to the victim’s car.

The victim’s car door was opened by the suspects. They pushed him aside and got into the car with him. They drove with him for a while before they stopped in Meadowlands, where they left him and drove off with the car.

The victim was robbed of his wallet, passport and cell phone. There were no injuries and no shots were fired during the incident.
