Metro police seize R120 000 worth of drugs in Windsor East

WINDSOR EAST – Three suspects arrested for drug possession after Metro police followed up on complaints from residents.


The Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) K9 Unit has seized drugs with a street value of R120 000 in Windsor East. 

According to Metro police chief David Tembe on social media, the police observed the area for weeks,  following up on complaints from residents.

Three suspects were arrested at Khaya Square for possession of drugs.

Here is what the police found:

  • 125 grams of cocaine.
  • 92 pieces of heroine and cocaine (nyaope).
  • 49 ecstasy tablets.
  • 15 yellow tablets of an unknown substance.
  • 60 packets of KAT.
  • 49 pieces of cocaine rocks.
  •  106 pieces of cocaine and rock cocaine wrapped in a plastic bag.

Spokesperson for the Metro police, Senior Superintendent Wayne Minnaar added, “The suspects were taken to the Randburg Police Station, processed and now await to appear in Randburg Magistrates’ Court.”
