Plant a tree to help our greenbelts

RANDPARK RIDGE – Join Ward 134 councillor Wendy Alexander for a day of tree planting fun on 6 December.

Ward 134 councillor Wendy Alexander is encouraging the community to join in on a day of planting trees in the ward’s green belts on 6 December.

Alexander explained, “Johannesburg City Parks, in conjunction with Ward 134, have actively been removing alien trees and plants in our area’s green belts.

An invitation to the tree planting event sent by Ward 134 councillor Wendy Alexander to the community.

“Now we are going to be replacing them with some indigenous trees. I encourage the community to come and enjoy giving back to the environment, and spend a worthy day in the sun. We hope to put some new life into our green belts.”

Alexander suggests that this is the perfect school holiday activity for little ones to take part in for a bit of school holiday fun to experience and learn more about nature and sustainability.

The event will start at 9am on 6 December on the corner of Seder and Molope roads, Randpark Ridge.
