A concert and graduation brings Magic Beings a step closer to adulthood

JOBURG NORTH – The children thoroughly enjoyed their special moment of wearing graduation gowns and receiving scrolls to honour their success.

On 23 November, Magic Beings Nursery School, Creche and Swimming School, had their Grade 00 concert and graduation.

The youngsters’ laughter echoed in the classrooms as they were over-excited to prepare for their concert. The teachers placed beautiful face paint and ruby stones on the girls’ faces and the boys’ faces were also covered in face paint with charming hats.

The girls wore adorable tutus on their heads as ‘troll hair’ which they enjoyed immensely. Some of the youngsters were excited for their parents to see them on stage.

The youngsters exclaimed how they loved the costumes they were wearing and that they like the concert because it’s fun.

In one of the classes, a teacher read a book to the youngsters to calm their nerves before the concert began.

Afterwards, the little-ones waltzed towards their school hall where the concert was held. They all performed incredibly well and made their head of preschool, Sharon Konstantinou proud.

“Our Grade 00 had a lot of fun doing the concert and their teachers put together a really good programme. They spent literally months putting together props and practising with the children.

“My main focus was for the children to really enjoy themselves. I think parents still believe their children can’t cope without them but if you see them here, you know they are ready for ‘big school’ and that they’re all going to go to Grade 0 next year, which I think is amazing,” said Konstantinou.

After the concert the Grade 00 graduation took place.

“It’s an absolute privilege to honour these little ones as they move on to Grade 0. These children had an amazing preschool experience in the beautiful surroundings of the Magic Beings campus. Some of them started there as tiny babies and were nurtured through their early years by loving, dedicated teachers.”
