The Robin Hills Scout Group showed off their many skills when they took part in the Robin Hills Family Fun Day on 17 November.
The event is hosted annually by the Robins Residence and Ratepayers Association and this was the first time that the Robin Hills Scouts had taken part in it.
Lester Hamilton of the Robin Hills Scout Group said, “Despite scorching temperatures on the day, the Scouts showed off their scouting and pioneering skills by building a short obstacle course around their Scout hall for the visitors to the fun day.”
Four obstacles were built for the day and had visitors running between barrels and over tyres before crawling through a tunnel and then across a swinging tyre bridge
While the fun day was taking place, the Scouts showed off more of their skills by building a swinging chair in their parade ground.
“All the structures built for the fun day were built using only wooden poles and ropes, showing off the Scouts’ planning skills as well as their knotting and pioneering abilities.
“The Robin Hills Scout Group meets on Fridays and is open to all children from ages seven to 18, and we encourage young aspiring Scouts to come and see what we have on offer.”
