Awards handed out at Bantwana College’s year-end party

HONEYDEW – What a year for Bantwana College Football Club.

Bantwana football club celebrated their year of excellence and success in style at their masquerade-themed year-end party.

This time last year Bantwana College Football Club was still trying to make their dreams a reality.

 

Jordyn Ramsden is named the Player of the Year at Bantwana College Football Club’s year-end masquerade party.

 

Fast forward 12 months and they are hosting their year-end party to celebrate their success and thank their stakeholders.

Their Masquerade party was a huge success according to founder and coach of the women’s football club Theo Buttress.

On the night, coach staffing, sponsors, players and parents got to interact with each another away from the soccer field.

Buttress presented the achievements of the year, including winning the inaugural ladies champion of champion’s tournament, and plans for next year.

The night also provided the team with a chance to acknowledge their star players of the year. Awards were handed out to the season’s top performers.

 

Bantwana College Football Club hosts their year-end party in Honeydew on 16 November 2018.

The following awards were handed out:

  • The Player of the Year: Jordyn Ramsden
  • Players Player of the Year: Gretel Buttress
  • Best Goalkeeper: Jordyn Ramsden
  • Best Defender: Liezl Windvogel
  • Best Midfielder: Nicole Simon
  • Best Forward: Yumnah Bhabha
  • Most dedicated player: Nicola-Annes Forfar
  • Most Enthusiastic Player: Caitlin Eastwood
  • Top Goal Scorer: Gretel Buttress (13 goals).

The club’s player of the year, Jordyn Ramsden, had a year to remember.

Earlier in the year, she made it to the U17 National Provisional Team.

She also played for the JvW Schools Elite Team and won the Goal Keeper of the year award.

Ramsden was instrumental to Bantwana finishing 4th in their league and to win their first trophy.

Nicola-Annes Forfar earned the Most Dedicated Player award as she did not miss any training session or matches this season.

The night was characterised by smiles, laughter and dancing. Buttress thanked every role player for making the year the success it was.

He stated that 2019 will be amazing if 2018 was anything to judge by.
