Police nab one suspect for house robbery in Blairgowrie

BLAIRGOWRIE – Daylight robbery on a Friday afternoon.

Electronics totalling about R50 000 was stolen in a house robbery.

A home in Blairgowrie was targeted at around 12.30pm by two suspects.

The suspects allegedly robbed the house at gunpoint. Police intervened before the situation could become fatal as they had a patrol vehicle nearby at the time of the robbery.

The police managed to apprehend one suspect but the other fled the scene.

 

Linden police’s spokesperson Constable Takalani Matumba confirms that one suspect was arrested for house robbery in Blairgowrie.

Linden police’s spokesperson Constable Takalani Matumba said, “When we arrived at the scene we were informed that two TVs, a laptop and a radio player, all worth R50 000, were stolen by the suspects.”

She stated that upon investigation of the crime scene they discovered one of the stolen TVs in the garden and other stolen items in a car allegedly belonging to the suspects.

The arrested suspect was charged with housebreaking and an investigation has been opened to locate his partner.

Luckily no one was injured but one individual was receiving medical attention from paramedics.
