Delta Park school assists Nooitgedacht Primary on Mandela Day

DELTA PARK – Delta Park School made sandwiches for Nooitgedacht Primary School on Mandela Day.

Delta Park School had a fun-filled Mandela Day making lunch packs for Nooitgedacht Primary School children in Cosmo City on 18 July.

The entire Delta Park School and staff used their 67 minutes to make sandwiches for lunch packs for the less fortunate children at the Cosmo City school.

The older learners were on hand to assist the younger Grade R and Grade 1 classes.

Here are some of the comments the learners had to say about the day:

Grade 1 learner Keyaan Abrahams said, “I had fun making the sandwiches to make the other school children happy, and that made me feel happy.”

Grade 7 learner Ewert Matshinatsimbi said, “On Mandela Day we must share so that no one goes without.”

Grade 11 learner Byron Venter said, “I think what we are doing here will bring hope to the people and the community and make people happy.”
