The Honeydew Police Station has urged the community to collect their firearm licenses and clearance certificates.
The station is saddled with hundreds of the community’s firearm licenses and clearance certificates just waiting to be collected.
Police spokesperson Captain Balan Muthan said only people who have applied for this documentation at the Honeydew Police Station should come and collect.
The licenses and certificates will be kept for a period of time before they are sent back to head office in Pretoria,” said Muthan.
“The community has failed to pick them up so we want to urge them to do so. The certificates are important as they serve as a clearance for those who want to study or work overseas.”
The captain said the community is welcome to visit the station to collect their documents or contact them on 011 801 8400.
