Term awards at Blairgowrie Primary

BLAIRGOWRIE – School awards learners in sports

Blairgowrie Primary School awarded three talented cricket players with the Principal’s Award at the school’s end-of-term sports awards.

This was to congratulate them for making it through to the Gauteng U13 squad of 52 players. Uzair Bera, Ziyaat Bhyat and Reaal Hariram made it into the next round of trials and hope to make the final squad of 22 players.

Johannesburg Sports Federation president Vicky Magu handed certificates of excellence to Thando Bhegala, Connor Cloete and Neil Sibiya with support from the Russian Youth League president David Kochukov at the Blairgowrie Primary School sports awards.

The school also had a Russian delegation attend the awards to build a closer relationship with the school as well as with Delta Park School. David Kochukov, president of the Russian Youth League and Vicky Magu, president of the Johannesburg Sports Confederation awarded talented soccer players Zaahid Shabodien, Sazi Qithi and Uzair with certificates as well as Thando Bhegala, Neil Sibiya and Connor Cloete of Delta Park School. These players have been doing well on the football field for their respective schools.

Blairgowrie Primary School soccer players were awarded for their excellent season. Russian youth league president David Kochukov, Zaahid Shabodien, Ziyaad Bhyat, Sazi Qithi and Johannesburg Sports Federation president Vicky Magoo.

The Russian delegation has partnered with Delta Park School and Blairgowrie Primary School to promote the partnership between Russia and South Arica. In future, they will host tournaments with each other to foster a closer relationship.
