Family hopes for brother’s return

RANDBURG – Family holds on to hope that Geelbooi Manganye will come home.

It has been more than a year since Geelbooi Manganye was reported missing. But his family has not given up hope of finding him. Manganye would have been turning 26 this year and was last seen near the Randburg taxi rank. According to his older brother Sol, Manganye worked opposite the taxi rank when he went missing on 13 December.

“Our family is hanging in there and we are just hoping for the best. There’s been a guy who claims to have seen my brother in a Krugersdorp informal settlement but we have not verified this information,” said Sol.

Geelbooi has a height of 1,7m and weighs 76 kg. It is not known what clothes he wore at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone with any information can contact Honeydew Police Station or Constable Duma on 071 675 7105.
