The Tammy Taylor crown is Windsor West’s resident for the taking

WINDSOR WEST – Driven by her deep desire to be an inspiration to all women, Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Top 100 semi-finalist, Rox-Anne Maistry shares her dreams of making a difference.

There is a movement that shines the torch on real women, with real lives, real stories, real curves and real problems.

Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Top 100 semi-finalist, Rox-Anne Maistry spoke to the Randburg Sun about why she wanted to be part of the competition and how she hopes it will work hand in hand with her deep desire to help her community.

To be part of the competition, Maistry, along with other deserving married women from across the country, were invited to the first-ever National Casting and Empowerment Workshop held at Emperors Palace to help prepare for the journey ahead.

As she believes hands serve holier than the lips that pray, her impact on the community should be one that inspires, motivates and empowers.

“I want to support the community to start and develop sustainable businesses and organisations by encouraging, equipping and facilitating the realisation of their life dreams and professional goals,” she said.

Adding she is aware of the many challenges her community faces in life but believes in the power of networks.
Maistry’s wish is that people never allow their disappointment to stop them from moving forward.

“Every little struggle is a step forward. Don’t be afraid to get back up – to try again, to love again, to live again, and to dream again.”

She shared that at times, everything that can possibly go wrong, does and though you might feel stuck in a rut forever, you should never quit.

What makes competitions like these important? Well, such competitions embrace true ambassadors, empowered to showcase the virtues of the country.

Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa is not your typical beauty pageant as it offers married women the platform to make a difference in their country.

Through this experience, Maistry hopes to learn that although life is tough, she is tougher.

“I hope to find my strength to laugh every day, find the courage to feel different, yet beautiful to make others smile, live simply, love generously, speak truthfully and to work diligently.”
