Knights answer Randburg SPCA’s plea for help

KENSINGTON B – Knights Preparatory School answered Randburg SPCA's plea for help as they donated various animal supplies.

Knights Preparatory School recently donated much-needed animal supplies to the Randburg SPCA.

The school’s PA to the principal, Wendy Richardson said it was important to give to the organisation as it was very difficult to ignore a desperate plea for help when it is within your power to do something.

She said they try and teach the children that the world is much bigger around them and they need to look outside their own worlds and show compassion “Being kind is something that everyone can do daily,” she said.

They donated dog/cat food, dry pellets for the dogs and cats as well as dog blankets and old towels for use in winter.

Richardson shared that the SPCA is close to their hearts and they have been regular donors over many years.

“We have often used our Valentines’s Day to bless the SPCA and knowing their needs we will continue to make it a priority to include them in our outreach programme.”

The school has various initiatives that they take part in throughout the year; they are regular supporters of Choc and Hotel Hope and they have also supported underprivileged schools as Mandela Day initiatives.
