A Bordeaux family faced a traumatic ordeal when armed suspects entered their property and held them at gunpoint in the early hours of 15 May.
According to Randburg Police Station spokesperson, Captain Makgowanyana Maja, four armed suspects entered the property at around 4am.
The mother and children, who were home alone, were tied up with her husband’s and the children’s school ties while the suspects ransacked the house.
They stole various items from the family, and the investigation is continuing.
Unconfirmed reports suggest on social media that the victims were subdued for four hours.
