Randpark Ridge local sets her sights on the Mrs SA crown

RANDPARK RIDGE – Chanel Caddie shares just how she plans to make her mark as this year's Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Top 100 semi-finalist.

Passionate, ambitious and loving, these are words Chanel Caddie thought best describe her.

One might say these are three adjectives that befit a woman who is this year’s Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Top 100 semi-finalist.

Caddie became a finalist after being invited to the first-ever National Casting and Empowerment Workshop held at Emperors Palace, to help women prepare for the journey ahead.

Caddie, a lover of fine art and dance became a finalist. The Randpark Ridge resident hoped that competitions like Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa would show women that they can make choices that empower them.

“To be all they can be and know they can be much more than just mothers and wives.”

When asked what would set her apart from the 99 other women in the competition Caddie simply said her relatability is something many would appreciate.

As she is not one to hide aspects of herself, she firmly believes that one should live out their talents daily.

Caddie is a special needs dance teacher who is thoroughly passionate about her students and their progress. Her hope is to broaden her platform to create more awareness for special needs.

The mother of two is excited to be a part of such competition and aims to make a difference wherever she goes.

In her lifetime Caddie hopes to see more job creation and less poverty, “That is also what our charity Women4Women is all about, not just giving fish for a day, but teaching them how to fish.”

Women4Women is described as a non-profit and public benefit organisation focused on female empowerment and community upliftment.

To those who think that pageants like these are purely based on how women look, Caddie suggested you do more research and realise the big change that competitions like these do make.
