Woman airlifted to hospital after sustaining critical injuries in taxi accident

RANDBURG – The critically injured woman was airlifted to a private hospital by the ER24 helicopter.

ER24 paramedics had to provide advanced life support to a woman that sustained critical injuries in a taxi accident on the morning of 11 April on Republic Road.

The woman was one of four passengers who had to be treated on scene after the taxi crashed into a lamp pole.

It is unclear what caused the incident but when medics arrived, they immediately assessed the situation and found the woman lying next to the taxi door that had been ripped off in the collision while the three other passengers were found walking around.

Once treated, the critically injured woman was airlifted to a private hospital by the ER24 helicopter and the other three were transported by ambulance.
