Ward 102 councillor David Potter will be holding a public meeting to discuss the launch of a social housing project in the Randburg CBD.

The launch forms part of the City’s long-term plan to develop social housing in areas of high urban density and vacant city land.

Potter said, “The project will commence on the old Municipal Court land situated on the corner of Jan Smuts and Selkirk avenues in the Randburg CBD.”

The project, which is referred to as the Joshco Social Housing Development, will see the vacant municipal land being transformed into a modern social housing development.
Phase one will begin with the development of 145 units.

The meeting will take place at 6pm at the Blairgowrie Recreation Centre, 8 Park Lane, off Conrad Drive, on 12 April.

Members of the public are encouraged to join.
