Fun at Laerskool Unika’s Colour Run

ROBINDALE – Laerskool Unika hosts successful colour run.

It was a festival of all colours at Laerskool Unika on 27 March when children from all grades enjoyed themselves during the school’s colour run.

Called a Rainbow Festival by Principal Etienne Venter, the purpose of the event was to give the children a fun day just before the Easter holidays.

“This is our way of thanking the parents for their continued support this term as well as the children for their hard work, behaviour and positive attitude in the school,” said Venter.

All 750 children at the school participated in the colour run and resembled various shapes of colour as they ran around the sports field.

The school also switched on the sprinklers to allow the children to rinse themselves off after the festivities, which led to even more exhilaration for them.

“From the school, we would also like to wish all the parents and children all the best for the Easter holidays and may they enjoy each day. To those travelling, I hope they do so safely and must come back well rested and ready for another term full of excitement and learning.”
