The tour provided a great insight and provided him the opportunity to escalate issues of concern to the City political and administrative executive.

During the tour, Potter posted a series of tweets.

Potter said, “Whilst there are still many challenges in the city, matters are being addressed and receiving the attention of a busy City executive. Turning this city around is going to take time and money. If it was that easy, it would have been done already,” said Potter.

Potter is working on making the lines shorter at the Randburg licensing department.

“You are welcome to engage with myself on any matters of ward concern, but as I have mentioned before, please do so with some respect.

Residents at times are frustrated, and unfairly and unnecessarily take this out on councillors who, like me, are working above and beyond to ensure the City executive delivers within the available resources and related budgets.”

Potter encouraged concerned residents to view the series of tweets and voice their concerns by using the Twitter hashtag #stateofward102tour and to continue to look for, log and escalate their issues.
