Rand Park matric dance committee sells roses for Valentine’s Day

RANDPARK – Local school raises much-needed funds thanks to successful Valentine's Day initiative.

Rand Park High School’s matric dance committee members worked tirelessly on Valentine’s Day to raise funds for this year’s matric dance.

Paying entirely for their own dance, this year’s fundraising initiative turned out to be a great success after committee members sold many roses, teddies, chocolates and balloons to other youngsters at the school.

Children from every grade lined up to buy gifts for the ones they admire.

Alan Wilke, principal the school said, “We are very pleased with the initiative shown by the matric dance committee this year.

They have worked hard to raise much-needed funds for this year’s matric dance and our learners have really supported their Valentine’s Day efforts.”
