Honeydew Police Cluster is investigating a business robbery after 10 suspects allegedly attempted to rob a business.
The incident took place at about 2.30am on 9 February at a business property on Hilston Road in Kya Sand.
Netcare 911 was called to the scene and when paramedics arrived they found a 35-year-old male security guard who had sustained minor to moderate injuries due to assault.
Paramedics also found one suspect, a 35-year-old man, on the scene with a gunshot wound to his left leg. The nine other suspects fled the scene when the security guard opened fire.
The security guard was treated for his injuries on the scene while the suspect was transported to hospital under police guard.
