BLAIRGOWRIE – One Small Act of Kindness raised 60 tons of water with the help of the community for animal shelters hit by the Cape Town drought.

A water initiative started by One Small Act of Kindness has raised 60 tons of water for animal shelters affected by the current drought in Cape Town.

Although the initiative is still ongoing, the first load of water was packed onto a sponsored Gift of the Givers Foundation truck headed straight to Cape Town.

 

Here are 11 facts you need to know about the initiative:

 

A human chain is formed to load the water bottles by the Gift of the Givers Foundation volunteers.

 

How can YOU get involved?

To be part of this initiative, refill or buy bottled water and drop it off at the main drop-off point at 29 Pekin Avenue, Blairgowrie.
