Planned water outage to affect Cosmo City and surrounds

Residents in Cosmo City extensions and surrounding areas have been warned of a planned water interruption in February.

The purpose of the water interruption by Joburg Water is to replace the step coupling which was damaged after a recent attempted theft incident.

Areas which will be affected by the interruption are Zandspruit Ext 4, Mostyn Park, Malibongwe Ridge, Lion Park and surrounding informal settlements, Itsotseng Informal Settlement, Lanseria, Hoogland, Sandpark A.H, Millgate Farm A.H and Tirong Ext 4.

The interruption will take place on 6 February from 7.30am to 6pm while restoration is estimated to be between 6pm and 8pm.

Water tanks will be placed in schools, clinics and shopping malls in the affected areas.
