The Honeydew Community Policing Forum will hold its election meetings for Sector 1, 2, and 3 this month.
All three sectors require new members with fresh ideas to assist in the fight against crime.
“There seems to be a perception that serving on these committees is onerous and time consuming, but that need not be the case as is the example of the secretary’s position which basically entails taking minutes at the monthly meeting and typing them up for distribution,” said public relations officer, Jon Rosenberg.
The Sector 1 meeting will take place on 22 January at 7pm at the Barn Church, off Kelly Road, in Boskruin.
Sector 1 suburbs include the following:

- Northgate
- Northwold
- Sundowner
- Strydom Park
- Sonneglans
- Bromhof
- Boskruin
- Bush Hill AH
- Kelly Ridge
- Glen Dayson AH
- Hunter’s Hill AH
- Sections of Randpark Ridge.
The Sector 2 meeting will take place on 25 January at 7pm in the boardroom at the Honeydew Police Station.
Sector 2 suburbs include the following:

- Weltevreden Park
- Constantia Park
- Hillfox
- Panorama AH
- Sections of Randpark Ridge.
The Sector 3 meeting will take place on 24 January at 6.30pm at Eagles View Guesthouse and Conference Centre.
