No first day jitters at Blairgowrie Primary School

BLAIRGOWRIE – The first school day arrives for Blairgowrie Primary School's new Grade Ones.

In about 17 years from now the first day of school for the Grade Ones of Blairgowrie Primary School will be nothing more than a vague memory.

Nick, Philippa and Ceana Swan are excited about the first day of big school at Blairgowrie Primary School.

 

Katleho and his mother Mampe Malumisi are happy that the first day of big school has finally come.

Surrounded by their doting parents, this day will be one they will cherish and look back on with much delight.

Dressed in their brand new school uniforms, the bright-eyed Grade 1s were ready to take on the day with much gusto.

The newbies were so busy making new friends and showing their parents that they were big boys and girls that not a single tear was shed when it was time to bid their parents farewell for the day.

Independence was the theme that resonated with all the children as they smiled at their teachers and played merrily on the jungle gym.

One of the teachers, Alta Fischer said like every year they look forward to seeing the growth of the children.

She explained that the school aims to produce confident children that bring confidence to the parents and reassures them that their children are in good hands.
