Hoerskool Randburg ranked in the top 20 SA secondary schools

FONTAINEBLEAU – Principal Pieter Booysen is proud that his school has excelled.

Hoërskool Randburg was ranked 17th in Gauteng on the Top 20 Secondary Schools of South Africa list.

The rankings were compiled by sadiaries.com, a website which collected information from around the country and ranked the top schools accordingly. Although it is unclear what criteria was used to compile the list, Hoërskool Randburg’s principal Pieter Booysen said he was happy to have made it on the list.

“I was made aware of the list and it brings pride and joy to everyone from the school to have been regarded so highly. The children and the teachers have worked hard to reach these standards and we are aiming higher,” said Booysen.

The school achieved an impressive average of 1.6 distinctions per matriculant in last year’s final examinations.

One Grade 12 received eight distinctions, two obtained seven distinctions, five obtained six distinctions and seven received five distinctions.

“Each year we want to do better than the previous year. That is how we improve the children and provide a solid foundation for them. We are always aiming high.”
