Local charities have a 10 000 reasons to smile

RANDPARK RIDGE – Local charities rejoice at great gift from community

Abraham Kriel Kinderhuis and Rainbows and Smiles received R10 000 each from West Pack Lifestyle Randburg on 18 December.

The two charity organisations were nominated by shopper Johnathan Dadswell and another shopper from Thabazimbi. The two customers nominated the respective charities after they won the store’s community-based competition.

Chris Jnr Da Silva, managing director of West Pack Lifestyle Group said their customers always request donations to help a charitable cause.

“This year’s competition provides customers with the chance to win cash to spend on things they really need, but also the opportunity to give back to their favourite charity in a meaningful way.”

Among some of the charities who have received cash donations include Impilo Child Protection and Adoption Services, CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation, National Society of SPCAs, Sandton SPCA, Stepping Stone Hospice and Have A Heart Care Centre for the Elderly.
