Family wants justice after brother dies in accident

JOHANNESBURG – Caleb Reddy was killed in a car accident in December and his family is searching for witnesses.

After a fatal car crash, a family is calling on the community for help.

Natalie Peters is calling for justice to be served after her brother Caleb Reddy was killed in a motor vehicle accident last month.

According to her, the accident occurred in front of Sandton Mediclinic between 11.30pm on 26 December and 1.30am on 27 December.

“We are asking for any possible witnesses to the accident to come forward. We have requested footage from the businesses around the clinic but without any success,” said Peters.

The driver of the vehicle which collided with Reddy’s was taken to hospital for treatment and will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court today (5 January) for a bail hearing.

“He faces charges of drunk driving, culpable homicide and reckless endangerment. We want to oppose his bail application being granted as the driver is a [foreign] national and we fear that he is a flight risk. We are asking for the community to stand together with us to get justice for my brother,” added Peters.

Randburg police were contacted for more information on the incident but were unavailable.
