RANDBURG – Randburg police find leads in a murder case after 12 hours.

It took Randburg Police Station’s detectives 12 hours to apprehend two murder suspects following a fatal stabbing in Bordeaux earlier this week.

According to Randburg police spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja, on 22 December, police responded to a scene on the corner of Hilltop and Noreen streets in Bordeaux. On their arrival, police found a victim with stab wounds and according to the community, the victim was stabbed by two suspects.

“Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene. A joint effort was initiated by the police and with the community’s help, the investigation yielded the positive results as the information received was on the whereabouts of the suspects,” said Maja.

The detectives relied on information brought forward by the community and left no stones unturned in their investigations.

The two suspects, aged between 24 and 25 years old were arrested and are expected to appear at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court next week.

The Station Commander Brigadier Michelle Jones applauded the involvement of the community in assisting the police to root out criminals.
