Brightwater Commons welcomes Urban Brew

PRESIDENT RIDGE – The majority of the old shop space of the Brightwater Commons is now occupied by Urban Brew Studios.

The majority of Brightwater Commons’ old shop space is now going to be occupied by Urban Brew Studios.

Visitors to the centre can now expect to see big stars from reality shows to youth programmes such as YOTVVodacom MillionairesLive AMP and How Do I Look? South Africa.

With large entertainment space that has been unoccupied for years, this is a fitting environment for a production company to step into.

The old Woolworths space is now occupied by Urban Brew’s main office.

Sönke Moolman-Pautz, leasing director for the new project said, “this is all part of the process of utilising existing shop space to incorporate office space.

“The production house will take over the historical cinema and bowling alley area, with 10 of the existing movie cinemas being converted into studios, and two brand new larger-than-normal studios being built.

“We welcome their more than 25 years in the entertainment industry. They are a well-respected South African television production company that has been in existence since 1995, and we are happy to have them as one of our major tenants.”

Urban Brew Studios will offer new facilities including office space for their staff, 10 television production studios, dedicated audio post-production space, and music compilation facilities.
