WATCH: Miss Commonwealth finalist visits Montessori School

RANDPARK RIDGE – Miss Commonwealth 2017 finalist, Julia Odiona, visited Randpark Ridge Montessori School to have some fun with youngsters and educate at the same time.

Miss Commonwealth 2017 contestant, Julia Odiona, visited Randpark Ridge Montessori School to show good community service, and to have some fun at the same time.

Odiona said, “I chose to come here today to show that children really are the future. Miss Commonwealth is a charity pageant and not a beauty pageant. Contestants are required to find organisations that are close to their hearts.

“The competition has been a great experience, personally. I have learned things about myself that I didn’t know before, but it has been challenging.”

School principal, Ananja de Lange added, “Julia wants to see children as individuals and she wants to improve the lives of children.

“Julia is here because she is passionate about children; she is also highly passionate about Montessori education.

“For us, Montessori is the size of the classroom and also the approach. We are highly practical and transformative.”

The pageant will be held at the Summer Place Boutique Hotel in Germiston on 6 December.
